Nancy O'Dell's professional career started in Myrtle Beach South Carolina as an anchor and reporter for news with WPDE-TV. Later, she worked at WCBD as anchor for the morning show and as a crime reporter. The stories she reported in Charleston concerning the lack of leniency by police regarding DUI cases led to a State Law Enforcement Division to look into the matter. It led to states authorities enforcing more rigorous regulations in these cases. Ms. O'Dell won her Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. In the years following her stay living in Charleston, O'Dell worked as anchor for the NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV as well as an investigative reporter. She then joined Access Hollywood to work as the weekend and weekday correspondent. In addition to her current work as a lead anchor on Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also an anchor for NBC News' Today and in addition contributes to Dateline NBC. She has covered such events including The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as in addition to hosting a series of Pre-ShowArrivals shows for The Emmys and the Golden Globes. She also co-hosted the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
