The month of March was when she garnered some attention after her name came up as a potential candidate to succeed Hope Hicks in the role as communications director. It hasn't been a pleasant fight. Schlapp's allies and Tony Sayegh began to joust with the media. Schlapp claimed that, following the time that the Washington Examiner had published an article with negative comments about Sayegh's persona, she phoned Sayegh in a private chat.
